After the second coming of Christ, the earth will become a peaceable Kingdom as predicted by the prophets Isaiah and Hosea. Isaiah described new heavens and a new earth:
Isaiah 65:25
25 The wolf and the lamb will feed together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox,
and dust will be the serpent’s food.
They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,”
says the Lord.
Isaiah 11:6-9
6 The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling together;
and a little child will lead them.
7 The cow will feed with the bear,
their young will lie down together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
8 The infant will play near the cobra’s den,
and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.
9 They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,
for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.
The prophet Hosea envisioned the same:
Hosea 2:18
18 In that day I will make a covenant for them
with the beasts of the field, the birds in the sky
and the creatures that move along the ground.
Bow and sword and battle
I will abolish from the land,
so that all may lie down in safety.
These prophets were shown the return to Eden after the second coming of Christ. Earth will go back to a state of peace and nonviolence; where we will no longer eat animals, but lay down in safety with them.
God’s original plan in the garden will be realized once again.
God intends for mankind to live peaceably with animals at the end of creation, just as He did at the beginning.
